We will be hosting a free Women's Rape Prevention Seminar, open to those over the age of 12. The seminar will be conducted by Chuck Peterson, a second degree black belt in Kenpo karate, an experienced Self Defense Instructor with a lifetime of practical martial arts experience. The focus will be on unarmed, alternative, or improvised weapons and tactics, no firearms knowledge or skill is necessary. There will be some opportunity to practice some basic moves but you won't break a sweat and no prior knowledge is necessary.
According to FBI statistics, 1 in 4 women has been the victim of a rape or attempted rape. 84% of rape victims in America knew their attacker and an amazing 57% of rapes were committed on a date! We, like Chuck, do not want you to be a victim. There are specific things you can do to reduce your chances of becoming a victim. Let Chuck teach you specific methods to minimize an attackers opportunity to commit a rape. Let Chuck teach you how to change an attackers intentions so they won't want to follow through on a rape attempt. And as a last resort, let's learn how to destroy their ability to commit the crime.
In the three hour seminar you will learn how to dramatically improve your odds of avoiding or surviving an assault or rape attempt.
